Location
Devon, Cornwall
You will predominantly cover the Devon region which currently includes: PL1, PL2, PL3, PL4, PL5, PL6, PL16, PL19, PL20, EX20
Occasionally you will be required to travel to Cornwall to support business needs which currently includes: PL14, PL15, PL17, PL18, PL30, PL31, TR8
You must live within this region and be able to travel to Tavistock regularly (office address)
Hours
Flexible.
Expected to be between 5hrs to 30hrs per week.
Shifts will typically be within the hours of 8am-5pm Mon-Fri.
This role is offered on a self-employed basis with no guaranteed hours. Work will be offered as required, and you will invoice for your time. As the business grows, regular and repeat work will become available.

Requirements
Use of your own van is essential for transporting items and supporting removals/clearances
Must have a full valid driving licence and your own van (minimum short wheelbase transit or larger) with business insurance
Must hold Public Liability Insurance
Must be registered as self-employed
Must have eligibility to work in the UK
Age 21+ due to lone working regulations
For successful applicants a full DBS will be required

Experience in removals, house clearances, or related work
Experience working with people with mental health disorders/hoarding tendencies or an understanding from personal experience
Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and equipment use
Role
Your main responsibility as a Property Clearer is to support with the safe, efficient, and respectful removal and clearance of household items.
At HomeClear first we sort, next we clear, then we clean. As part of our clear team, you will be a vital component in delivering our HomeClear package by carefully moving, loading, and removing items from properties.
You will also be responsible for removing rubbish and charity donations after each session, to be taken to their relevant places i.e. Waste Transfer Station or Charity Donation Centre.
From time to time you may also be asked to support with sorting, organising, or cleaning alongside the wider HomeClear team.
Please note - we are a new business, as we grow it is likely that our services will develop and our coverage area will increase to include additional postal areas within Devon & Cornwall. It is important that you are flexible and adaptable to business changes.
We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and grow with our business with the flexibility to do additional hours to meet business demand where required.
