Lead Veterinary Surgeon – Clinical Leadership Role – Colchester, Essex – £75,000 + Performance Bonus
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a meaningful leadership role within a well-established, supportive small animal practice in Colchester.

About the Role
This is a permanent full-time or part-time position (minimum 3 days per week), with no out-of-hours requirement. There is a Saturday morning rota included in the role.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Leading and maintaining high clinical standards across the practice
* Mentoring and developing the veterinary and nursing teams
* Managing complex medical cases and a broad range of surgical procedures
* Overseeing clinical governance and promoting best practice
* Supporting practice performance, workflow and team development
* Building strong, lasting client relationships
* Working alongside the Practice Director to contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the practice
What They're Looking For
They are looking for a confident, experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for clinical excellence and team development. Previous leadership or mentoring experience is preferred, and candidates with a proven track record in commercial leadership are particularly encouraged to apply. Orthopaedic experience is desirable but not essential.

Salary £75,000 DOE — with flexibility for the right candidate with a strong commercial leadership background
Performance-related bonus structure, with the potential for significant additional earnings for consistently strong practice performance
5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 6 weeks with service
