Cross Rental Services are seeking a talented HR Advisor to join our HR team in Andover. In this generalist role, you'll report directly to the HR Director and play a pivotal part in blending administrative efficiency with employee relations support. Based at our Andover HQ, you'll help drive a positive company culture while ensuring seamless HR operations across our multi-site organization. Key Responsibilities: Manage joiner, mover, and leaver processes, including contracts, references, IT setups, vehicle checks, uniforms, and tools. Handle monthly payroll activities ensuring overtime, bonuses, deductions, sick pay, and leaver calculations are correct. Administer benefits such as group life assurance, private medical insurance, and our corporate eyecare scheme. Monitor sickness absence, escalate issues, and support return-to-work processes. Conduct new starter orientations, exit interviews, and coordinate occupational health referrals for sickness cases. Provide advice on employee relations (ER), including investigations, disciplinaries, performance management, and compliance with employment legislation. Oversee training administration, monthly HR reporting, and ad-hoc projects to support business needs. Maintain HR databases, ensure data protection compliance, and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards. What We're Looking For: Essential: Proven experience in a generalist HR role within an SME, covering admin and advisory duties. Knowledge of payroll, benefits, absence management, and ER processes. Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking skills with a focus on confidentiality and building trust. Proficiency in HRIS systems, MS Office, and understanding of UK employment law. Desirable: CIPD qualification or equivalent. Experience in multi-site or dynamic environments. What We Offer: Opportunities for training, development, and career progression.
