Field Quality Problem Analysis

The scope of this project covers the structured investigation and root cause analysis of customer-reported issues across all vehicle systems, including Body & Trim, Electrical, and Chassis & Powertrain. The objective is to deliver clear, evidence-based understanding of failure modes to enable rapid and effective problem solving, protect existing customers, and prevent recurrence in future production.
This initiative will establish a consistent and disciplined
* Problem Identification: Reviewing customer complaints, warranty claims, field data and service feedback to confirm and define the specific problem statement.
* Root Cause Investigation: Conducting structured technical analysis using recognised diagnostic and investigative methods (e.g. 5-Why, Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis) to determine true root cause.
* Evidence Gathering: Collecting and validating physical, digital and analytical data to support findings and conclusions.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supplier teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing throughout the investigation process.
* Communication and Reporting: Producing clear, factual documentation of findings and presenting outcomes to stakeholders to support timely resolution and long-term corrective actions.
Work customer relevant technical issues through to root cause
* Document progress using the 8D Problem Solving template
* Create and present status reports, using Bentley templates, to be shared at internal ‘Handover’ and Escalation meetings as required
* Support must be exclusively onsite, as in person interactions are required to handle parts and enable the above interactions
* Target Time from new Topic assigned to completion/handover = 11 Weeks in line with internal targets
* Provide weekly status updates (and discuss support or escalation points) to the Technical Manager: Field Quality Steering and/or Field Quality Analysis Manager
