SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary PRU, Hillingdon
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Hillingdon from September 2025.
This PRU supports pupils aged 5-11 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools, many of whom present with SEMH needs, ADHD, autism, and challenging behaviour. The school prides itself on providing a structured, nurturing environment where pupils are given the support they need to re-engage with education and build positive relationships.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH and additional needs
Supporting with behaviour management, using positive and restorative approaches
Helping pupils develop social skills, resilience, and confidence
Assisting teachers in delivering personalised learning and interventions
Contributing to a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a PRU, SEMH school, or similar SEND setting
A resilient, calm and patient approach with strong behaviour management skills
A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
Team Teach or similar behaviour training (desirable but not essential)
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
