Job Title: FLT Counterbalance Operator
Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm // 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Hourly Rate: £13.00 - £14:00
Job Summary:
The FLT Counterbalance Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a counterbalance forklift truck to move, load, unload, and store materials within a warehouse, yard, or production environment. The role requires adherence to health and safety regulations, accuracy in handling goods, and teamwork to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a counterbalance forklift truck to load, unload, and move goods.
Transport materials to designated storage, production, or dispatch areas.
Check loads for accuracy, damage, and compliance with handling procedures.
Safely stack and store products to maintain warehouse organization.
Carry out pre-use safety checks and routine maintenance of the forklift.
Follow site safety rules, traffic management systems, and company policies.
Assist with general warehouse duties when required (e.g., handballing, picking, packing).
Report any defects, damages, or incidents to supervisors immediately. Requirements:
Valid counterbalance forklift license (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent).
Proven experience operating a counterbalance FLT in a warehouse or industrial setting.
Good awareness of health & safety practices.
Ability to lift, move, and handle goods safely.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, or weekends if required. Work Environment:
Warehouse, yard, or production facility.
Exposure to noise, dust, and variable temperatures may occur.
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be worn at all times
