About the Role
Consortium are representing a valued client, who are seeking an experienced Logistics Controller. As a Logistics Controller, you'll be an integral part of the Container Operations Team, working closely with internal teams to ensure the seamless end-to-end coordination of container shipments. You;ll help manage risk, optimise shipment margins, and ensure our client continues to deliver best-in-class container logistics solutions. This dynamic role requires a forward-thinking, organised, and detail-driven professional who thrives under pressure and enjoys problem-solving on a global scale.
Responsibilities
* Planning and coordinating container shipments from source to destination, in line with commercial agreements.
* Acting as a key liaison between internal teams, external logistics providers, inspection agencies, and customers.
* Handling container claims with shipping lines and cargo insurers when required.
* Producing timely and accurate forecasting and planning information for all stakeholders.
* Supporting integration and optimisation of SAP within the container operations function.
* Proactively identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve service levels, and drive operational efficiency.
* Contributing to departmental KPIs and collaborating on wider logistics projects.
About you
* Proven experience in a container logistics or supply chain coordination role, on an international scale
* Excellent knowledge of shipping documentation
* Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems is highly desirable
* Outstanding organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
