About the role
We’re looking for an experienced leader to take our Alarm Service through a major analogue‑to‑digital transformation while keeping customer service, safety and reliability front and centre. You’ll lead a small, dedicated team to deliver operational excellence today and shape the service for tomorrow - including technology upgrades, service growth and rebranding.
Responsibilities
* To lead the analogue‑to‑digital transition for all alarm users - planning, deployment, and seamless integration of modern digital technologies and platforms.
* To oversee the Alarm Receiving Centre tender and partner with technical specialists to ensure secure, future‑proof digital operations (server management, cybersecurity, data integrity).
* To manage installations, maintenance and repair of hardwired and dispersed alarms; monitor service quality, risks and incidents; and drive continuous improvement.
* To ensure administration and data accuracy across agreements, customer accounts and records, introducing audits and training to lift standards.
* To identify opportunities to grow and rebrand the service, develop tenders for public sector contracts, and represent NDH at events and forums.
* To provide day‑to‑day leadership and coaching to the Alarm Service Team, fostering collaboration, professional development and high performance.
About you
* You will have proven experience managing alarm/telecare services, ideally with digital transition exposure.
* You will have strong technical understanding of alarm systems and digital communications; IT literate with experience of alarm management software and network administration.
* You are confident in service development, tendering or contract management.
* You will be experienced in leadership, communication and organisational skills with a customer‑first mindset.
* Public sector contracting experience; project management qualification; knowledge of compliance and data protection (GDPR) would be advantageous.
* Cash Plan of up to £1600 per year
* Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
* Family Friendly Policies
* Cycle to Work Scheme
* Refer a Friend Scheme
The successful candidate will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
