As a Chef, you will be working in a school environment, assisting the Chef Manager in the running of the kitchen operations. As a team you will be responsible for providing meals to students.
Key responsibilities:
To support the Chef Manager with the day to day operations of the kitchen
Support in the preparation and cooking of school meals for students to a high standard
Ensuring meals are cooked following all food hygiene and food safety protocols, adhering to any allergen and dietary requirements.
Ensure all health safety protocols are followed, keeping all catering areas clean
Support in the planning of menus to meet all dietary requirements
Support the Chef Manager in the supervision and training of the catering team
About You:
Experience in a similar environment, ideally within education catering
Strong understanding of health & safety and food hygiene
Excellent communication and management skills
Experience handling allergen protocols
Food Hygiene certifications
Enhanced DBS disclosure
