Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Central East Community Mental Health Team in Manchester. We are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse Associate to work within the Team, to undertaking depot and blood clinics, home depots and bloods, Physical Health Care assessments and monitoring, alongside other service user and carer interventions.
Central East CMHT is a fast paced, dynamic, supportive, well performing team within the Manchester directorate of GMMH covering a wide geographical area and varying service user and carer needs.
The successful applicant will have some experience of working with service users with mental health issues. The post holder will be able to hold clinics and work as part of a busy multi-disciplinary team supporting service users address their physical and mental health needs and carry a caseload of service users with diagnosis of severe and enduring mental ill health.

* Clozapine, Mood stabiliser and Depot clinics
* Undertake Venepuncture as directed by Senior Nurse Practitioner as required
* Undertake ECG as directed by Senior Nurse Practitioner/Medic as required.
* Supporting annual flu vaccination clinics

* Registered Nurse Associate compliant with the requirements for NMC registration
* Level 5 study, Foundation Degree Nursing Associate
* End Point Assessment achieved and passed
* Training in venepuncture
* Training in BLS
* Training in ECG taking
* Awareness of blood results relevant to role
* Evidence of post registration study

* Evidence based interventions and their application on practice
* The scope of the role of Nursing Associate in the context of the team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development.
* Knowledge of PHIT.
* The need for continued professional development in accordance with the requirements of NMC registration
