We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support local people in accessing the financial help they are entitled to and improving their long-term financial resilience. In this role, you will work closely with residents to identify unclaimed benefits and ensure they are receiving all available financial support. You will provide guidance and practical assistance to help individuals and families better manage their finances and build stability for the future. A key part of the role involves assessing applications to the Council’s Crisis and Resilience Fund, including those relating to essential needs such as heating oil. You will make informed decisions, provide appropriate support, and ensure funds are allocated fairly and effectively. You will also collaborate with partner organisations, encouraging and managing referrals into the Crisis and Resilience Fund to reach those most in need. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail, who is committed to supporting vulnerable residents and improving community wellbeing.
