Job Description The Job Mission This is a hybrid role, but we can only consider candidates within commuting distance of Bridgwater—or those open to relocating, in which case a modest relocation allowance will be provided. You'll support Commissioning and Operations (CommOps) activities on one of the UK’s most complex infrastructure programmes. Your future team will look to you for safety expertise across both site operations and office-based planning. Key responsibilities will include: Delivering practical health and safety advice across all CommOps work streams Supporting commissioning and construction safety from preparation through to execution Reviewing risk assessments and method statements for technical accuracy and clarity Driving a positive safety culture across project teams and contractors Monitoring compliance with UK health and safety regulations and internal policies Leading inspections and audits, and tracking follow-up actions Building collaborative relationships across delivery and contractor organisations Creating performance reports with trend insights and recommended mitigations Providing assurance and technical guidance during incident investigations Identifying hazards and recommending robust mitigations through existing safety frameworks
