Sports Direct is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Temporary Sales Assistant to join our team in London, United Kingdom. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment, helping customers find the perfect sports equipment and apparel for their needs.
* Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection and enquiries
* Maintain a clean and organised sales floor, ensuring products are properly displayed and stocked
* Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
* Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks
* Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction
* Stay informed about product ranges, promotions, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers
* Assist with visual merchandising to create attractive and effective product displays
* Handle customer returns and exchanges in line with company policies
* Maintain a high level of product knowledge, particularly in sports and fitness equipment
Qualifications
* Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
* Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
* Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactions
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
* Enthusiasm for sports and fitness, with knowledge of related products (preferred)
* Previous retail experience, particularly in a sports or fashion environment (preferred)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
* Keen eye for detail in maintaining product displays and store presentation
