Exchequer Financial Services controls the council’s main income and expenditure streams and acts as a key internal control. The Exchequer section includes transactional functions such as childcare provider agreements and payments, supplier payments, banking, debt recovery, purchasing and financial processing.
We are looking for four highly motivated, efficient individuals with experience of working in a fast-paced financial and administrative environment. Candidates will have excellent ICT skills and the proven ability to use their initiative and judgement to resolve problems.
These roles will help support the delivery of specialist transactional functions within the section. They will provide expert advice and guidance and will be pivotal in developing and implementing new and improved systems and processes. Therefore, the successful candidate will need to be creative, forward thinking and work in collaboration with a range of internal and external partners, including schools.
Candidates will have responsibility for managing their own workloads and supporting colleagues, whilst being an effective team member.
The posts are based at County Hall, Matlock and in line with current working practices, postholders will be required to work full time in the office whilst training but may be able to work more flexibly in the future dependent of the needs of the service.
