Role Summary
Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a Warhammer Editorial Manager to join our studio team to set the direction and ambition for the writing and editorial teams, and to deliver ever‑better Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar books and games through world‑class writing and editing.
Responsibilities
* Act as the ultimate guardian of editorial quality, defining quality standards and guiding the team’s activities from research and development to IP ideation and mainline production.
* Set clear goals, monitor progress, and coach, lead and inspire the background writing and editorial teams to continuously improve quality and efficiency across all modes of writing and product types.
* Work closely with key studio contacts, especially creative leads, to ensure the correct IP, tone and atmosphere are accurately delivered and presented in the products.
* Build strong relationships with wider business teams—including Product Developers and Planners—and allocate appropriate resources for projects while scheduling all work for writers and editors.
* Manage multiple workstreams, people and budgets across many simultaneous projects.
* Analyze and interpret data from KPIs and customer feedback to improve editorial quality and product outcomes.
Qualifications
* Passionate about people, driven, and an experienced manager.
* Strong understanding of how commercial writing studios operate and a track record of managing creative teams to deliver world‑class copy.
* Highly organized with keen attention to detail, able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
* Experience with commercial publishing, editorial quality control and data‑driven decision making.
