The Role
As a Rural Surveyor / Land Agent, you will:
1. Provide professional land and property advice on behalf of a wide range of clients
2. Deliver infrastructure, utilities, and renewable energy projects to a consistently high standard
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, landowners, occupiers, contractors, and consultants
4. Lead negotiations and manage stakeholder expectations throughout project lifecycles
5. Support property and asset management activities, including long-term improvement strategies
6. Manage capital and operational budgets and investment programmes
7. Identify and develop new business opportunities across the North East region
8. Support and mentor junior colleagues and trainees within the team
9. Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with quality management procedures
10. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
Rural Surveyor / Land Agent Requirements
11. MRICS or AssocRICS qualification preferred
12. Candidates working towards professional qualifications will also be considered
13. Previous experience within rural surveying, land agency, infrastructure, utilities, or renewables advantageous
14. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
15. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
16. Experience using GIS platforms
17. Knowledge of Microsoft Project is desirable but not essential
18. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively
19. Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service and business development
