About the role: IT Teacher
Activate Learning is looking for a passionate and inspiring Information Technology Teacher to deliver ICT-based qualifications within the Createch Faculty at our Banbury College campus.
The immediate focus of this role will be the delivery and completion of our current BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Computing, followed by leading the transition and launch to the new Level 3 T-Level in Digital Software Development, starting September 2026.
You’ll teach a wide range core digital subjects including:
1. Problem solving
2. Introduction to programming
3. Emerging issues
4. Legislation and regulatory requirements
5. Business context
6. Data
7. Digital environments
8. Security
Learners will develop essential skills in data analysis, coding, software development, IT problem-solving, emerging technologies, and technical troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate diverse learners are essential for you to deliver engaging lessons that prepare students for digital careers or further study in Computer Science or Information Technology.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at Banbury College campus.
What do you need to be successful as an IT Teacher at Activate Learning?
To succeed in this role, you'll bring practical expertise in: programming and software development, IT infrastructure, IT legislation, data analytics and management, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals, along with experience using industry-standard platforms.
Candidates should hold a qualification or degree in Computing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Technologies, or a related field, along with relevant industry experience in IT or tech.
Ideally, you’ll also have:

10. Experience planning, delivering, and assessing BTEC Level 3 Computing and T Level Digital Software Development
