Overview
Placemaker Manager (Customer Service and Membership Manager) at Places for People Group / Apollo AyurVAID. The role focuses on driving membership numbers in a busy leisure facility by creating a friendly, welcoming, and supportive environment for customers to choose how, when and where they are active. You will lead and coach the membership teams to deliver outstanding customer service and promote the benefits of activity in all its forms.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coach the membership teams to achieve the objective of making everyone a member, responding to all membership enquiries from prospective and current members.
* Follow up on enquiries and prospects who do not join, ensuring effective handling of all inquiries using supplied technology and processes.
* Monitor personal and team sales performance and complete reporting within deadlines.
* Utilise sales tools and techniques documented in the Places Leisure Membership management manual and through coaching and training.
* Represent the role values and ensure a customer-first approach aligned with team objectives.
Qualifications
* Experience in membership sales, ideally within a leisure or hospitality environment.
* Experience in leading teams and managing them to KPIs.
* Passion for health and fitness with strong product knowledge.
* Ability to communicate the organisation's vision to the team and ensure customers’ needs are met.
* Evidence at interview of motivating teams to deliver sales and customer service consistently.
* Background in a customer-facing role with a track record of meeting individual and team targets.
* Comfortable leading from the front, including showing prospective members around the site and motivating the team.
