Job Purpose
The Coflexip Tendering Lead oversees the estimation activities within Manufacturing for the Coflexip products line, in support of the Surface business globally. He/She is the main point of contact for the Surface Commercial and Tendering teams, and delivers Coflexip product quotes to answer Client’s Requests for Proposals. He/She then coordinates with the Coflexip Manufacturing teams to establish the medium/long term manufacturing master schedule based on sales forecast and active quotes. The Tendering Lead also supports Coflexip industrialization initiatives and is responsible for the continuous simplification and standardization of the Coflexip tendering processes and tools.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Medium/long term Sales & Operation Planning:
Analyze commercial forecasts and propose actions to ensure resources (people, stock of structures, and end fittings) will meet demand in the medium/long term
Develop and maintain the master schedule for Coflexip® Products with the Manufacturing Planning teams
Laise with Manufacturing Planning and Supply Chain to manage the stock of structures, end fittings and accessories according to business needs
Main point of contact between the Surface Commercial / Tendering teams and Manufacturing, maintain strong and effective relationship across the Value Stream
Based on quotation requests, available inventory, master schedule and firm orders:
Assist Surface BU in preparing offers during the pre-award phase:
o Review the scope of work and propose optimizations (Quality / Cost / Lead Time) to the Commercial teams
o Provide products cost and lead time
o Provide a preliminary execution schedule, qualifications, risks and opportunities
Coordinate between Surface BU and Manufacturing Units in case of inter-factory transfers of workload
Gets approval from Manufacturing Leadership team to submit quotes according to the manufacturing tendering approval DOA
Upon award, hand over the project to the manufacturing entity responsible for execution
Track the overall pre-award activities and maintain internal/external reporting tools to provide visibility of future demands
Continuous Improvement & training
Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to continuously improve the tendering processes and tools across the Coflexip Value Stream
Share Coflexip product knowledge to the broader organization when relevant
Lead actions to increase the competitiveness of Coflexip products, in support of TechnipFMC Commercial strategy
You are meant for this job if:
1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or related discipline. Master's degree in the same areas is preferred
2. 8-10 years of relevant working experience in tender, sales support, engineering or projects
3. Experience with Oil & Gas product engineering and/or manufacturing. Knowledge in Flexible pipe technologies and/or Surface business a plus
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both written and spoken English.
5. Diligent, meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong organization and planning skills
7. Experience leading process improvement initiatives
Other desirable competencies:
8. Experience working with SAP and SalesForce
9. Project management certification (PMI, APM, Prince…)
10. Experience working in a LEAN environment
