This is an excellent opportunity for experienced machinists from a tool room or precision engineering background to secure long-term, stable employment with overtime available. This Conventional Machinist role is offered on a temp to perm basis, working Monday to Friday on day shifts with overtime at enhanced rates. Pay is negotiable depending on experience and skills, and there is the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team following a successful trial period. As a Conventional Machinist you will be responsible for producing precision components using traditional workshop machinery. Daily duties will include setting and operating Bridgeport milling machines and centre lathes, interpreting detailed engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, working to tight tolerances, and ensuring high quality finishes on all machined parts. You will also be expected to carry out basic machine maintenance, inspect finished components using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the workshop.
