This role involves applying software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response to ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of systems, platforms, and technologies.
To succeed as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Oracle, you should have experience with:
* Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Internet Directory (OID), Oracle Database Performance Tuning – SME
* Deep understanding of LDAP protocols and directory services
* SQL Optimization
* Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
* Experience with monitoring systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
Additional valued skills include:
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Ability to diagnose and resolve production incidents quickly
* Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
This role will be based at our Knutsford campus.

* Ensure availability, performance, and scalability through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning
* Respond to system outages, analyze issues, and implement preventative measures
* Develop tools and scripts to automate operations, reducing manual work and improving resilience
* Monitor and optimize system performance and resource usage
* Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability, scalability, and performance into software development
* Stay informed of industry trends and contribute to technology communities
