SEN Teaching Assistant – Loughborough
We are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support pupils within schools across the Loughborough area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and making a genuine difference to their learning, development, and wellbeing.
Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with pupils who may have a range of needs including:
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* ADHD
* Speech & Language needs
* Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Learning difficulties
Support may be provided on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, depending on pupil needs. Roles are available in mainstream and specialist settings, with opportunities for short-term, long-term, and potentially permanent placements.
Ideal Candidate
* Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based or transferable experience considered)
* Be patient, nurturing, and resilient
* Have strong communication skills and a calm, adaptable approach
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS
