We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and childcare experienced person to join the Ashfield Family Support & Safeguarding Team as a Family Support Worker. Nottinghamshire is committed to working in a strength-based way with children and families. You will be motivated, committed, and passionate about making a difference to the lives of children, young people, and families. Achieving good outcomes for children is at the centre of what we do.
This is a busy team and the role will require you to 'think on your feet', build positive relationships with children, their families and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes. You will have a high level of personal drive. You will need to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
The ability to engage and build positive relationships with adults and children during stressful and challenging times will be required. You must be able to work well in a busy team and ensure you share information with the social workers and team managers on tasks undertaken and progress made.
Nottinghamshire County Council is committed to developing and supporting their workforce and offer a wide range of good quality training and opportunities. This could be an excellent opportunity to find out if Social Work is for you and to gain experience in this area.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact Abigail O'Brien on 0115...
