We are a thriving hotel in the heart of Skipton, renowned for our warm hospitality, excellent service, and commitment to creating memorable guest experiences. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our leadership team and support the General Manager in driving operational excellence.
Role Overview
The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day running of the hotel's operational departments, ensuring smooth delivery of service, high standards, and maximum profitability. You will work closely with the Heads of Department to develop teams, ensure compliance, and maintain a culture of quality and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and support Heads of Department across Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and other operational areas.
* Drive service standards and revenue opportunities across all departments.
* Support recruitment, on boarding, training, and ongoing development of staff.
* Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
* Take ownership of the hotel's Health & Safety policy, working with the GM and HODs to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees.
* Analyse operational performance, identify opportunities, and implement improvements to enhance guest satisfaction and profitability.
* Act as Duty Manager when required, ensuring smooth running of operations and prompt resolution of issues.
About You
* Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Deputy GM, or similar role in a hotel or hospitality environment.
* Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
* Sound knowledge of operational best practice, compliance, and Health & Safety legislation.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
* A hands-on approach and a passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
