Job Title: Electrical Engineer

The Opportunity Harper Recruitment Group is supporting a well-established building services provider that has delivered electrical solutions to commercial and industrial clients nationwide for over 25 years. Their Facilities Management division provides electrical installation, testing and reactive maintenance across a wide range of sites, and due to continued growth, they are seeking a fully qualified Electrical Engineer to join their team.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys working across varied environments, travelling nationwide and delivering high-quality electrical work as part of a dynamic and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical installation works across commercial and industrial sites
* Complete electrical testing, inspection and verification
* Install structured cabling systems (experience preferred but not essential)
* Participate in on-call duties as part of a rota
* Undertake general electrical maintenance and fault finding
* Liaise with clients on site to understand requirements and provide professional support
* Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards
What We’re Looking For
* NVQ Level 3 or completed electrical apprenticeship
* 18th Edition BS7671:2018 qualification
* 2391, 2394/5 or equivalent testing qualification
* Valid JIB grading card
* BS5266?1:2016 Emergency Lighting (preferred but not essential)
* IPAF/PASMA certification (preferred but not essential)
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience working across commercial and industrial electrical systems
* Ability to carry out electrical maintenance and installations to a high standard
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong organisational, written and communication skills
* Self-motivated, reliable and able to use own initiative
* Experience in electrical installation testing
