The Commodity Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships, cost reduction and supply strategy to ensure effective sourcing of their responsible commodity. The commodity manager serves as an escalation point for resolving major supply issues within their assigned commodity or commodities.

Organize team workload and priorities as applicable.

Develop and maintain supply strategy for assigned commodities aligned to business and supply chain requirements based on analysis of available data.

Able to generate significant cost reduction though coordination with internal stakeholders (engineering, planning, materials).

Act as focal point and subject matter expert in global market for assigned commodity.

Achieves high quality and productivity standards by adhering to standard work.

Demonstrating competence, proactivity and leadership in implementing procurement best practice (e.g. 5S, PFEP, POH, KPI, SRM etc.) in the context of Dover processes and the Oracle ERP system.

Negotiating and managing value:add supply contracts within commodity portfolio.

Development and execution of initiatives relating to business continuous improvement projects

Identifying and mitigating supply chain risk.

Escalation point to remediate major supply chain issues impacting business operations.

International travel to supplier and Dover corporate locations.
