Permanent Appointed Person – Birmingham – Civil Engineering
We are recruiting for a Permanent Appointed Person to join a UK civil engineering contractor, working on a significant infrastructure project in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and oversee lifting operations in line with LOLER and company procedures.
2. Prepare and issue lift plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
3. Coordinate with crane supervisors, slinger/signallers, and site teams.
4. Ensure all lifting activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
5. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
6. Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation.
The ideal candidate:
7. Previous experience as an appointed person on construction sites
8. CPCS Appointed Person
9. Proven experience in planning and supervising lifting operations.
10. Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices.
