Leader Education are looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in a Mainstream Primary School based in Newcastle. The successful TA will work 1:1 and in small groups with children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and may have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). It is essential for the successful TA to have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have prior experience working with children aged 3 to 5 years old. This school aims to ensure that all children are happy and safe, receiving the very highest standard of education that can be offered.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm and is a long-term position.
An ASAP start is available for the TA who has a DBS on the Update service.
The successful candidate will have:
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
* A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Experience of working with young children in EYFS
* A motivating and supportive presence towards the children
* An encouraging attitude towards the students by assisting them with their needs within the classroom
* Clear communication skills
* An ability to empower the students when reaching achievements or small goals
* Help to plan classroom activities and prepare materials needed for each lesson
