Staffline is recruiting a Security Officer for our University Hospitals Birmingham contract. We provide enhanced rates of pay for unsocial hours, ensuring you are well compensated for your hard work and dedication. You also need to have a full UK driving license and access to your own car as you will be required to cover Hospitals in Birmingham, Solihull & Sutton Coldfield. The rate of pay is £12.36 per hour (£24,102 - £36,000 per annum - this is dependent on the shift pattern and number of shifts worked) - Nights and Saturdays: £17.43 per hour - Sundays: £18.54 per hour - Bank Holidays: £22.62 per hour This is a full-time permanent role working days, nights, and weekends. C andidates must have a valid SIA Door Supervisor license to be considered for this role; however, if you have experience in the military, police or prison custody we can provide the relevant SIA Door Supervisor training. Your Time at Work As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for securing three NHS hospitals across Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield & Solihull. Your duties include: - Work as part of a team to manage security across different sites - Utilise keen conflict management skills to de-escalate incidents - Interact with staff and the public, ensuring adherence to security protocols - Patrol premises, monitor car parks, and assist with emergency situations - Conduct searches and monitor CCTV cameras - Liaise with internal security teams and emergency services when necessary Applications will only be considered with a fully updated CV.
