This Project Management role offers the opportunity to build and lead your own project teams while delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, including data centres, battery storage, substations and ICP works. We have expanded to deliver projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe, with exciting active sites in Belgium, Germany, Sweden and Denmark.The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of allocated projects from contract award through to client handover, ensuring safety, quality, programme and commercial performance are achieved. You will lead and coordinate Project Coordinators, Site Managers and subcontractors, driving accountability, performance and client satisfaction at every stage.
Responsibilities
* Review scope, contracts and commercial requirements; identify risks and opportunities; plan resources, programme and site mobilisation requirements.
* Lead safe, high-quality project delivery from site set-up through to completion; manage programme, resources and costs to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Use strong electrical knowledge to support project delivery, ensuring compliance with design requirements, specifications and installation standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical regulations, etc.
* Manage and support Project Coordinators, Site Managers and delivery teams; establish clear responsibilities, communication and performance expectations. Champion the development of team members through mentoring etc.
* Monitor budgets, track costs and manage applications for payment, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
* Act as the primary client interface, building strong relationships, managing expectations and ensuring a high standard of service throughout the project lifecycle.
* Oversee H&S standards, ensure RAMS and site documentation are in place, and maintain accurate project records and reporting.
* Ensure smooth handover of completed works, including all documentation; capture feedback and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
* Support client retention and growth by identifying opportunities, delivering excellent service and reinforcing the Triex brand and reputation.
Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience working on electrical infrastructure projects.
* Electrically trained (e.g. NVQ, apprenticeship or equivalent) or demonstrable electrical knowledge gained through project delivery.
* Minimum 2 years’ team and subcontractor management experience.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Preferred: Prince 2 Foundation (or equivalent), with a view to completing Prince 2 Practitioner.
