We are supporting a leading organisation in the appointment of an AI Security & Governance Consultant to drive the secure adoption of Microsoft Copilot and associated AI technologies.
The role requires deep expertise across Microsoft 365, Copilot, and identity governance. Operating from an information security perspective, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring AI platforms are deployed in line with security, compliance, and data protection standards.
The role will involve designing and implementing agentic identity models, ensuring AI agents operate securely under appropriate identity and access controls aligned to Zero Trust principles.
The role will require 1 day per week onsite at the clients London offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert guidance on the secure configuration and governance of Microsoft Copilot at tenant level
* Design and implement governance frameworks for Copilot, Copilot Studio, and AI agents
* Develop and manageagentic identity models, including:
o Managed identities
o Service principals
o Authentication and authorisation flows
* Define and implement identity lifecycle controls (provisioning, approval, rotation, monitoring, decommissioning)
* Conduct security and compliance risk assessments for AI-enabled tools
* Produce high-quality security design artefacts, standards, and guidance
* Provide assurance and advisory services to senior stakeholders on AI security posture
* Support security investigations relating to Copilot or AI agent usage
Key Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience administering Microsoft Copilot within a Microsoft 365 environment
* Strong knowledge of Copilot Studio and AI agent development
* Non-human identities
* Managed identities
* Service principals and API permissions
* Strong background in Information Security, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
* Experience with Microsoft Purview, particularly Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) for AI
* Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and the wider Microsoft security ecosystem
* Relevant security or cloud certifications (e.g., CISSP, Azure Security Engineer)
