We’re seeking an innovative and experienced Recruitment Services Manager to join our People Directorate within a newly aligned Recruitment Operations and Talent Acquisition Team. You will report to our Director of Talent Acquisition and will be responsible for managing the Recruitment Operations team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll drive service excellence, champion inclusive hiring practices, and help build a scalable, sector-leading recruitment model. The position is a hybrid role, based a minimum of 3 days a week on our campus on Oxford Road, Manchester. What You’ll Do Lead the delivery of a streamlined, effective, and bias-aware recruitment experience for candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders. Influence strategic hiring practices and drive continuous improvement across recruitment operations. Champion a culture of service excellence and inclusive hiring at scale. Translate strategic goals into operational delivery and lead successful change programmes. Use data and insight to inform decision-making and demonstrate impact. What We’re Looking For Proven experience managing high-quality recruitment services in large, complex organisations. A track record of designing and implementing innovative, efficient recruitment processes. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing large teams. A customer-focused mindset and a passion for creating positive candidate and stakeholder experiences. Experience using diverse recruitment channels, including social media, to attract top and diverse talent. Excellent communication and influencing skills across varied audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. A strategic thinker and motivational leader aligned with the University’s values. Desirable: Experience working within the higher education sector.
