HGV Technician

Based in Thatcham, Berkshire, they have grown to become one of the largest line marking companies in the country. They operate over 100-line painting vehicles and continually invest in the latest leading-edge technology. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct day-to-day repair and preventative maintenance of HGVs and light vans, including MOT prep, PMIs, servicing, and addressing defects.
- Maintain and repair specialist road marking machines and plant.
- Provide on-call breakdown cover with a rota of 1 week in 4 (van provided).
- Travel to satellite depots to carry out repairs and maintenance.
- Proactively maintain a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
Communication:
- Good communication skills are essential for effective teamwork and problem-solving.
Knowledge/Expertise:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in commercial and plant fitting, or qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or above.
- Good working and mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles.
Innovation:
- Willingness to undertake additional training as deemed necessary.
