A forward-thinking secondary school in Lancaster is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking to begin their career in a supportive environment.
About the Role
* Teach History across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to A‑Level teaching for the right candidate.
* Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
* Track and assess student progress, ensuring all learners reach their full potential.
* Contribute to the wider school community, including enrichment activities, trips, and teamwork within the department.
About You
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it for a September 2026 completion.
* Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History.
* Ability to inspire, motivate, and build positive relationships with young people.
* A commitment to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
