The Canterbury Tales Immersive Experience is dedicated to bringing Geoffrey Chaucer's iconic tales to life in a fully interactive and engaging environment. Located in the heart of Canterbury City Centre, the attraction uses state‑of‑the‑art technology to recreate the medieval world and immerse visitors in the stories of love, adventure, and intrigue. With a mission to combine education and entertainment, the experience hosts live performances, workshops, and events that explore medieval culture and literature. Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Actor role based in Canterbury. As an Actor, you will bring Chaucer’s tales to life through live theatrical performances and interactive storytelling. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include rehearsing scripts, participating in performances, engaging with visitors in character to enhance their experience, and contributing to the delivery of special events or workshops. Your role will be essential in creating a vibrant, historically immersive atmosphere that captivates and educates visitors of all ages.
Qualifications
* Strong Acting skills with experience in drama performances, both live and/or recorded
* Experience in Music and performance‑based roles is an advantage
* Background or understanding of Casting and Film Production processes
* A solid grasp of team collaboration and ability to work within a creative environment
* Knowledge in historical or cultural storytelling is a plus
* Enthusiasm for engaging with audiences of various backgrounds and fostering interactive experiences
