Are you an experienced EMEA payroll professional looking for a new challenge? Your opportunity awaits!
We are currently seeking a skilled individual to join our Payroll Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in processing the monthly payroll system, ledgers, journals, and annual returns to statutory and regulatory bodies. Your mission? Ensure that all employees within the EMEA region are paid accurately and on time, in line with local, regional, and business requirements. As we expand due to potential acquisitions, your role will become even more vital!
This is a hybrid position, allowing you to work part of the week in our modern city center Glasgow office, conveniently accessible via train and bus.
How You'll Make an Impact
* Assist in producing all EMEA monthly payrolls and support the UK payroll accurately and on time.
* Liaise with third-party payroll providers and administer payrolls as needed:
o Administer salaries and control ledgers promptly and accurately.
o Reconcile monthly taxes and social security payments for review by the Payroll Manager.
o Address employee questions promptly, referring complex queries to the appropriate personnel.
o Collaborate with other departments, such as Accounts and IT, as required.
o Stay updated on payroll and taxation legislation that may impact processing.
o Ensure payroll files are organized and communications are accurately recorded.
o Exercise judgment when reviewing payroll files, consulting senior colleagues when necessary.
o Assist with monthly control and reconciliation processes in line with audit requirements.
o Support employees with queries or requests for clarification.
o Contribute to other areas of the company as needed.
o Follow internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws.
About You
* In-depth understanding of payroll processes.
* Prior experience supporting EMEA payroll.
* Proficiency in payroll/HR software.
* Knowledge of banking methods and accounting principles.
* Ability to prioritize and organize your workload to meet deadlines.
* Capable of working under pressure.
* Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Effective written communication skills.
* Confident and effective telephone communication.
* Accurate data input skills.
* Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and Oracle payroll/HR software.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
