Pharmacy Assistant – St Mark's Pharmacy Team
This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy assistant to join our dynamic, innovative and friendly team dedicated to improving our services within the St Mark's Pharmacy team.
Your role will involve working with the dispensary and medicines management teams to implement, deliver and continually improve pharmacy services for out‑patients—including those receiving home parenteral support—and supporting in‑patient work. You will also assist with developing and maintaining medicines management protocols.
Responsibilities
* Implement, deliver and continually improve pharmacy services for out‑patients and in‑patients, including home parenteral support.
* Support dispensing and medicines management teams.
* Participate in weekend, bank holiday and late‑night duty rotas.
* Contribute to the department’s development, education and training initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
* Good GCSEs or equivalent.
* Full NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in pharmacy services, or equivalent.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a large multi‑disciplinary team.
* Friendly, approachable, adaptable and flexible.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
Note: This is a 12‑month fixed‑term post. ACAD (accuracy checking for dispensers qualification) is not offered, but if the position becomes permanent this would be reviewed.
