We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Redbridge to assist with the appointment of an Advanced Youth Offending Service Officer, on a 6.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £25.50 - £33.93 per hour
Summary:
An opportunity to manage a caseload of youth justice cases, including out-of-court disposals and statutory court orders, delivering effective interventions that support children and young people to live crime-free lives using a Child First, Offender Second approach.
Responsibilities:
* Manage youth justice cases in line with National Standards and HMIP Inspection Framework
* Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions to reduce offending and re-offending
* Use AssetPlus for assessment, planning, and case management
* Work closely with children, young people, families, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
* Prepare and present Pre-Sentence Reports, Stand-Down Reports, and Panel Reports
* Represent the service and present information in Court and other formal forums
Qualifications:
* Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in youth justice, social care, or a related field.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience working with children and young people in a youth justice, social care, or related setting
* Strong communication and engagement skills with young people and families
* Ability to manage a caseload and work to statutory timescales
* Understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding principles
* Confident report writing and court presentation skills
