An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS in the North of Scotland for an experienced Pharmacist to take on this unique role as the Regional HEPMA Advanced Pharmacist for the North of Scotland Pharmacy Stock Control (PSC) and Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (HEPMA) system.
The North of Scotland (NoS) comprises of 6 NHS Boards - NHS Grampian, NHS Highland, NHS Orkney, NHS Shetland, NHS Tayside and NHS Western Isles. These 6 boards are collaborating on this transformational change which supports safe and effective high quality clinical care for the population of the NoS. This is the first time in the UK that a single PSC and HEPMA system will be installed and used by multiple NHS Boards.
The post holder will be a part of the Regional team and will support the service provision to the Health Boards, taking a lead role for the NoS PSC and HEPMA system. The post holder will have a 1 day a week clinical commitment.
We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative and ambitious person with excellent communication skills who can engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across the North of Scotland.
The post holder will have access to an office in Foresterhill house, but may also be required to work from home, collaborating and attending meetings remotely via Microsoft Teams. Applications are invited from all North of Scotland Health Boards.
