About the role
Are you an outstanding teacher with a passion for developing others? We’re looking for an Advanced Practitioner to help drive excellence across our Apprenticeships and Work-Based Learning provision.
You’ll support staff through coaching, mentoring and modelling great practice, ensuring our apprentices receive exceptional teaching, learning and assessment. Our department spans four sectors – Business & Enterprise, Healthcare & Science, Engineering and Construction – so experience or knowledge in at least one of these is a real advantage.
What you’ll do:
Deliver high-quality teaching and set the standard for others
Coach, mentor and support teaching staff and assessors
Lead professional development, contribute to quality improvement and share best practice
Support new staff through induction and development
Drive improvements in attendance, achievement and apprentice progress
Promote our FREDIE+ values and champion safeguarding
What you’ll bring:
A track record of good or outstanding teaching and strong learner outcomes
Experience supporting or developing other staff
Passion for outstanding TLA and learner success
Up-to-date knowledge of pedagogy, inclusivity and digital tools
Level 5 teaching qualification (or above) and relevant degree
