Our client, a dynamic and growing business based in Leeds, is looking to add a Finance Analyst to their finance team. This newly created position is pivotal and ideal for professionals passionate about turning complex data into actionable insight.
In this role, you'll work with large datasets, with a hands-on focus on budgeting, forecasting, and translating numbers into meaningful, business-critical analysis. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with experience in a complex business setting or a data expert skilled at manipulation and interpretation of financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyse and interpret large sets of financial data to provide clear, concise insight for the business
2. Lead on budgeting and forecasting processes, supporting senior leadership with timely, accurate reports
3. Translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations
4. Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide meaningful financial analysis
5. Support process improvement across the finance function
Key Requirements:
6. Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent), or proven experience handling complex financial data in a business setting
7. Advanced Excel/data manipulation skills; experience with financial modelling is highly advantageous
8. Strong communication skills with the ability to present and explain data to non-finance stakeholders
9. Determination to add value and contribute to a high-performing finance team
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 plus excellent progression opportunities and development for the right person.
