Forrest Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established construction company. Due to continued success, they are looking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their friendly accounts team of five, reporting directly to the Company Accountant.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts professional to join a supportive and reputable business. You’ll take responsibility for the smooth running of the purchase ledger function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume environment.
Daily Duties Include:
 1. Matching, batching, and coding of approximately 400–500 invoices per week
 2. Statement reconciliations and resolving supplier discrepancies
 3. Monitoring the accounts inbox and responding to queries
 4. Dealing with invoice and credit note requests
 5. Updating financial systems including Sage, Navision, and Excel
 6. Providing general administrative support to the accounts team as needed
You’ll be a methodical, detail-oriented individual with proven experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable position.
Requirements:
 7. Experience within a high-volume purchase ledger environment
 8. Proficiency with Sage, Navision (Microsoft Dynamics), and Excel
 9. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
 10. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
