To assist the Retail Shop Manager in managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the shop, ensuring excellent customer service and maximising overall profit. To help enhance the profile of the hospices in the community through good customer relations. To independently stand in for the Shop Manager in their absence.


Essential criteria

1. Maximise the contribution of the shop through sales from all donated and new goods.
2. Ensure the shop delivers high standards of customer service.
3. Capture Gift Aid at every opportunity to maximise income.
4. Assist the manager with sales promotions, stock generation activities, and income from new goods.
5. Encourage and coordinate the work of volunteers, including managing rotas.
6. Assist the Manager with recruitment, induction, training, and development of volunteers.
7. Ensure the shop operates in line with retail policies and procedures.
