The Post

The M365 Information Governance JD is generic and therefore additional specifics for the post are noted below and on the person specification.

The Microsoft 365 Operational Delivery Group (ODG) for NHS Scotland is looking to recruit a M365 Information Governance Lead to assist in supporting the delivery of the M365 Products nationally.

This crucial role will support the ODG in its aim of a “Once for Scotland” delivery of M365 across all Scottish territorial and special Health Boards.

Working Closely With The M365 Delivery Lead, Records Management And Security Lead, In Addition To Other Colleagues And The National M365 Service Team, You Will Lead On Key Programmes Of Work Including


* Finding elegant solutions to difficult or complex information governance problems
* Developing policies and guidance which can be adopted on a “Once for Scotland” basis by local Boards
* Collaborating with local regional and national M365 leads across multiple disciplines to identify areas of good practice, translating these into workable national solutions
* Provide direct support and advice regarding legislative and policy obligations to key stakeholders
* Manage the delivery of the Information Governance workplan as part of the Transformation team
* Representing ODG at Regional and National forums in line with the role
* Answer any FOIs for related queries
* Provide SME advice and onward actions for operational changes and/or service matters
* Provide 3rd line eDiscovery support and advice

The Candidate

The role requires a driven, outputs focussed individual with experience of M365 Information Governance and Security at a local level and a willingness to work towards the ambition of NHS Scotland in this space.

Location and Working Pattern:

This post will be based at Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.

Currently hybrid working.

The work pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
