Overview
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, CPC‑qualified Group Transport and Operations Manager to support the development of the Wishford Education Group. Sound interesting? You are likely to have experience working within a multi‑site transport or service‑based operation. The role would suit someone with a background in passenger transport logistics or fleet management.
Responsibilities
* All aspects of fleet safety and compliance including maintenance, driver training and licensing for a fleet of 21 PSV vehicles, 17 small minibuses and 6 ancillary vehicles
* Liaising with the Traffic Commissioner's Office to ensure compliance with the terms of the Wishford Group's Public Service Vehicle (PSV) licences
* Health and Safety at Work
* Training and CPD for support staff
* Catering provision
* Risk management
* Contingency planning

Experience & Skills
* Essential – Hold a Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)for Public Service Vehicles
* Maintaining compliance with Operator Licence undertakings
* Oversight of Health and Safety and operational risk management
* Desirable – recognised Health and Safety at Work qualification such as NEBOSH. Training can be provided if required.
* Demonstrable commercial knowledge and awareness of operations
* Planning, organisational and influencing skills
* Team management, leadership and coaching
* Understanding of fleet management
* Full valid driving licence
Hours and Location
Based at the group's support office in the beautiful market town of Corsham, Wiltshire, but with some time spent in schools, this is a full‑time, year‑round role. Some flexible working is possible, and the work is varied and interesting.
