Position: Manager, Overdose Prevention and Peer Support Services Location: White Rock/South Surrey (various locations) Hours: 35 hours per week (weekend and evening work required, specific schedule to be negotiated) - on call availability required Salary: $34.51 per hour to start Start Date: November 22, 2025 We are looking for a Program Manager to join our Overdose Prevention and Peer Support Services team! Ideally, this individual has a strong understanding of harm reduction and low barrier engagement of vulnerable populations and a combination of mission driven leadership with a capacity to manage complex operations with an eye for detail. Description of Position: Reporting to: Executive Director of Community Services General Responsibilities: Oversee and participate in the daily operations of both the Overdose Prevention Services and Peer Support Network and Outreach Services. In accordance with the Program Operations Manual, the manager guides overdose prevention, harm reduction and peer support activities and program interface between Sources, Fraser Health and the communities of White Rock and South Surrey. Develop and lead supports and services to reduce the risk of fatality and harms while improving the wellness of people who use substances in the community. Program-specific Responsibilities: Hiring permanent and casual staff for the Peace Point Overdose Prevention Services (OPS) program. Liaising with Fraser Health Mental Health and Substance Use for the coordination of OPS services at the White Rock Mental Health Substance Use Services site Support the Peer Coordinators who lead the Peer Support team to distribute food and harm reduction supplies and connect with people using substances and experiencing complex needs in the community Support the Peer Coordinator to effectively recruit and engaging People With Lived/Living Experience (PWLLE) to serve as Peer Supports to vulnerable individuals. Securing and organizing supplies to distribute to people experiencing homelessness (clothing, hygiene supplies, etc.) Developing and Implementing the Peer Support Services activities and operations Providing management and support to the System Navigation Outreach team. Coordinating a weekly Low-Barrier Service Hub involving multiple service providers in White Rock Physical Demands of Job: Lifting/Pulling/Pushing - 25%, Walking/Moving Around - 25%, Sitting - 25%, Time Spent Outside - 25% Cognitive Demands of Job: Independent Work - 50%, Task Memorization - 25%, Changing Priorities/Deadlines - 50%, Writing/Reading - 50% Qualifications: Many forms of education and experience are valued, including volunteering and lived experience of mental health challenges / substance use/ homelessness; Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a minimum of a Diploma in the social/human sciences, addictions or in law/justice. Preference will be given to those who have post-secondary education and training relevant to the social service field. Alternately, pursuit of certification in social work, counseling, criminal justice or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for this position. Effectively utilize Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook and central data systems Proven communication and conflict resolution skills Strong organizational and problem solving skills Demonstrated knowledge of social justice, health promotion and public health approaches and models of social support and health care Effectively communicate professionally, verbally and written in English Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with diverse range of cliental including individuals who are actively using substances and living with significant health and behavioral challenges Demonstrated understanding of the importance and role of people who use drugs in the development, delivery and evaluation of services intended to benefit them Food Safe certificate (Training may be accessed through Sources) Standard First Aid and CPR (Training may be accessed through Sources) Overdose Prevention, Recognition and Response Training, including Naloxone Administration Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training (Training may be accessed through Sources) Criminal Records check through the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Records Review Program Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and driver's abstract The Manager will oversee unionized staff within Overdose Prevention Services and non-union staff and volunteers in Peer Support Services and System Navigation Outreach.
