This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled leader to join a well-resourced, supportive organisation and truly make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the service, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards while fostering a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment. Key Responsibilities of the Registered Manager:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children’s home to ensure high standards of care.
*
Lead and support a team of residential care staff, ensuring training, supervision, and professional development is delivered consistently.
*
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, health and safety legislation, and internal care policies.
*
Develop and monitor individualised care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies.
*
Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, local authorities, and external professionals.
*
Manage recruitment, retention, and safer staffing practices within the home.
*
Prepare the home for Ofsted inspections and drive continuous improvement across the service.
*
Manage budgets, rotas, and resources efficiently while ensuring service sustainability.
*
Promote a safeguarding-first culture, addressing all concerns and incidents promptly and effectively.
Requirements for the Registered Manager Role:
*
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
*
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within residential care, ideally children’s services.
*
In-depth knowledge of Ofsted standards and relevant care regulations.
*
Proven leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
*
Ability to work flexibly and respond to the demands of a dynamic care environment.
*
UK driving licence (desirable, depending on service location).
What We Offer:
*
Competitive salary of £50,000–£55,000 (based on experience).
*
Career progression pathways within a growing care organisation.
*
Ongoing training and CPD to support your role as a Registered Manager.
*
Pension scheme and employee assistance programme.
*
Generous annual leave and enhanced bank holiday rates.
*
A positive working culture built on collaboration, care, and respect.
