*We are seeking to recruit a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner (Early Years Practitioner) to join our team to support us in extending and developing our provision.**Early Years Practitioner, Full or Part Time Contracts Available (27-41 hours per week), Permanent.*Stripy Horse is a small nursery looking after around 20-25 children each day, we are in rural surroundings and have a real love of the outdoors, we are located in South Cumbria, with excellent transport links to the M6 motorway, A65 and A590.Stripy Horse is open 51 weeks a year, closing over Christmas and all public bank holidays.We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and positive, as well as highly motivated and passionate about developing young children's learning and experiences. The position will work alongside 1-3 year old's have key person responsibilities, there is also the potential for further management responsibilities such as safeguarding, SENCO and leadership roles such as supporting and mentoring apprentices.*Key Responsibilities*To support children in developing confidence, independence, awareness of the needs of others and the disposition to learn, by planning and implementing a high quality, play experiences.* To be a key person for a small group of children, planning activities, to include play and learning opportunities, to develop their skills.* To observe children using our online system, Tapestry.* To treat each child as an individual and to ensure those needs are met.* To regularly communicate and work in partnership with Parents/Carers.* To support children in taking and managing their own risks.* To uphold the nursery's values and ethos.* To work to all the Nursery Policies, including Keeping Children Safe, Equal Opportunities, Data Protection and Confidentiality.*Qualifications, experience and skills** NNEB or BTEC Nat Dip or CACHE Dip in Childcare or NVQ Level 3 or SVQ (or other recognised childcare level 3 qualification as per government guidelines).
