With a strong pipeline of new residential projects launching this year, an established and well respected housebuilder is looking to appoint two experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on large scale residential developments, taking ownership of the financial management of projects from pre construction through to completion, and supporting post completion defect costs in liaison with customer care teams.
Quantity Surveyor Job Description:
You will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of multiple projects, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Responsibilities will include:
* Managing the financial aspects of residential construction projects through pre construction and delivery
* Reviewing and checking contract documentation
* Procuring and appointing subcontractors
* Preparing, analysing and controlling costs including subcontract packages, variations, materials and preliminaries
* Producing and maintaining Cost to Complete and CVR reports, identifying risks and overspends
* Supporting post completion defects and associated costs alongside customer care teams
* Working closely with construction, technical and commercial colleagues to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably
