Contract Opportunity – Electrical & Mechanical Technicians (Rolling Stock / EV)
Hours: 60 hours per week (12-hour shifts, Monday–Friday)
We are currently recruiting 4 Multi-Skilled Electrical & Mechanical Technicians for a short-term, high-impact project based in Derby.
This role sits within the rail / rolling stock sector, supporting the build and assembly of battery box frames for EV systems— a key area in the future of rail technology.
The Role
You’ll be working as part of a skilled team responsible for the build, assembly, and integration of battery enclosures, combining both electrical and mechanical skillsets in a fast-paced workshop environment.
* Assembly and build of battery box frames and associated components
* Mechanical fitting, alignment, and installation work
* Electrical wiring, routing, and basic integration tasks
* Working from engineering drawings and technical instructions
* Ensuring all work is completed to high quality and safety standards
* Supporting the wider team to meet tight project deadlines
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Technician (Electrical & Mechanical)
* Background in rail, rolling stock, automotive, EV, or heavy engineering
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings
* Strong hands-on approach and attention to detail
* Comfortable working long hours in a contract environment
